A fun filled few months!

One of the biggest events in the industry is the annual Photography Show held at the NEC, I have been going for the last few years and have met many great connections from suppliers of equipment to props, printers to associations. This year was no different and enjoyed meeting up with old and new friends. One of my favourite purchases has to be my new portable lighting!

You may have seen the images uploaded to my Instagram / on my website, The photoshoots have allowed me to explore my creativity in a variety of genres.

The underwater and rain machine photoshoot at Tankspace was amazing, The models who train to take part in this style of photography should be commended. The vision of effortless, elegant and beautiful posing while having to submerge in full gowns repeatedly, holding their breath while giving us relaxed and natural facial features all while water burns their sinuses requires training and a special kind of model. The results WOW!

My next photoshoot was a white gown theme, styled by @Tabithaboydell with @xeniamodel_official at a new studio for me in Derby; @theboardroom.studio the windows there are stunning and allow for amazing natural light to flood in. The results, are soft, airy images. If you are looking to have your own beautiful images like those below, please do reach out, you wont be disappointed!

My final shoot was a male art nude @openspace_studio with @joelakalimit, this was a great experimental shoot for different lighting styles and the results that they achieve. I am quite familiar with female art nude but wanted to expand that knowledge to include male art nude. The different poses and lighting to create tasteful and artistic results, the below are from both the Lowkey and Highkey lighting styles. I am also taking part in a 52 week photographic challenge with @52frames which is all about embracing imperfection. The only requirement is to show up and produce an image based on your interpretation of the themes given. Some weeks I have been really proud of my entries and others I have been so busy I am just happy to meet the weeks challenge. While it is not a competition and is all about committing to the challenges each week, it is a real honor to have received second-place and then a '52 Picks' where the committee or 'guest picker' select images which they feel show outstanding work out of the thousands submitted.

Professionally the last few months have shown me how much I enjoy photographing portraits with beautiful dresses both in and out of water. I have also enjoyed retouching images from other artists, working with their creativity and visions and then adding my own style.

Personally, the last few months have been about love, loss and self-discovery. I have also learnt; I am still not great at bowling lol!
