Then and Now....

So I have had a number of great shoots over the last few weeks. A shared shooting space at an old abandoned school in Herefordshire booked through Jan Cottrell - Photoshoots. A place where they hold paranormal investigations, while we didn't make any connections we did have some interesting lights show up on some of our images in certain locations ;)

(The first image is a BTS and then a little taste of what nightmares are made of)

Thank you Layla x

I have been enjoying working with another new model @ashleighrae_ig Ashleigh is such a professional to work with and so easy to get along with. Ashleigh and I have been working through some of my conceptual pieces which is really exciting as have hundreds to take from my sketch book to creation. Ashleigh has been able to take on the role and emotion needed with ease and it has been a real pleasure!

Here is one of the conceptual pieces 'Saviour' It was actually selected as the Gold Fine Art image for the month of May with the MPA.... a fantastic birthday present lol!

Thank you Ashleigh x

I recently also attended a photoshoot with my local camera club to shoot the old Hollywood style, again this was another shoot with Ashleigh at Studio Fifty Eight. Such a great genre to photograph. Not something I do normally but definitely something to incorporate into my photography options.

A really important photograph I need to share about is that of the 'Knife Angel' National Monument Against Violence and Aggression.

A contemporary sculpture by artist Alfie Bradley and @britishironworkcentre

This sculpture stands at a height of 27 ft / 8.2m and is made up of 100,000 knives, both surrendered and seized.

The Angel Knife is a nationwide tour to highlight the anti-violence message behind it's construction

My heart goes out to all of those effected by violence and knife crime and hope the message is spread far and wide to put an end to this ever increasing and devastating epidemic.

If you haven't yet seen the Knife Angel, I urge you to visit. Stop. Look. See the emotion portrayed in the face of the sculpture and the hands, held out in both despair and hope. It is extremely powerful!

'Save a life, surrender your knife'

Taken outside All Saints Church, Northampton

Things are really getting exciting for my new products launching soon! I can't wait to share them with you all.

I will have a collection of ten postcards in a beautiful square format. They can be used as individual art works or to keep in touch with family and friends. Each of the images will then also be available as a fine art print so you can select your favourite or collect them all.

Keep checking in for the grand release or drop me a message to be the first to hear!
